Middle school offers lockers and movement from classroom to classroom as students prepare for their transition to high school.
Ms. Naghmeh is a beloved educator teaching students technology through coding and robotics, as well as integrating science, art, and math.
Coach Karlo runs a fantastic program to keep the students active and engaged in Physical Education classes. Junior High students also compete in the Bay Area Christian School Athletic League (BACSAL) for our sports programs, including Flag Football, Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, and Soccer. In 2022 the girl’s BCS Volleyball team became league champions!
Every Friday the students and staff dress in school-colored fitness gear to promote an active lifestyle. We start our day with a quick all-school exercise and throughout the day students are encouraged to stay active with classroom movement indoors and outside. Nutrition and an active lifestyle are encouraged every day.
Music is offered in Grades Kindergarten through 5th and led by the talented Mr. Van Liew. The school year begins in preparation for the annual Christmas Brunch where the students perform songs for their families. The new year brings music knowledge with basic instruments and music history. Every student can take guitar and piano lessons after school through Method to the Melody.
Our students attend a weekly Chapel where every child is lifted in their walk with the Lord through worship and age-appropriate lessons. Chapel is once a week on Tuesdays, for Kinder through 4th Grade and for 5th through 8th Grade. There are guest speakers and worship leaders from The Bay Church who share their message and Godly wisdom.
Our Extended Day (ED) program is offered before school from 6:30-8:30 a.m. and after school from 3:10-6:00 p.m., ED charges are $7 per hour, per child, and are pro-rated per hour.
BCS offers tutoring services after school for students who need extra support. Services are paid directly to the educator at $35 per hour.
The Summer Day Program at BCS is one that our students love! It is a 8-week program that runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The days are robust, and filled with learning, field trips, and on-site activities. The staff works diligently to provide students with a fun and exciting summer.
